2004 Christmas Party Awards
Awards (both serious and not-so-serious) from the 2004 Christmas party.
At the recent Christmas party a number of awards were presented, some serious and some not so serious. Some of these records are extracted from a ecclectic list produced by the club recorder, which can be found here. The following is a list of these awards: Female swimmer of the year
Nahomi Eriguchi Male swimmer of the year
John Wynberg Female rookie of the year
Jana Haites Male rookie of the year
John Caporn Ocean swimmer of the year
Scarlet Reid for her solo Rottnest Island ocean swim Swim of the year
Jointly awarded to Morton Bagley for breaking his own record 11 years after it was set (280+ Men's 4x50 medley relay) and Matthew Leditschke for breaking a 19 year old club record (200 breaststroke) Embarrassment Award
Roz Eliott for two piece tri cossie with no draw string Worst Dive in Training

Winner: Bob Hayter (Ouch!) Worst finish to the wall
David Lovelace, last 10m of his 200m butterfly at Trinity Worst tumble-turn in competition
Monica Dubaj at the state relay champs Fastest swimmer who should tumble-turn but doesn't
Clare Netherton Fastest swimmer who most consistently swims in a lower lane

Anne Fein, at the World Championships in Italy Swimmer closest to missing out on breaking a club record

Steve Thomas, 100m freestyle, three swims, slowest 1:08:10, fastest 1:07.88 Mr Nasty Award for coach who set the worst set of the year
Steve Badger (for Wednesday 16-Dec) Award for the person who enforces the lane rules in the nicest possible way
Robyn Burton Person who missed their own birthday training set
